Bonnie - 3 years old.
Bonnie, 3 years old. Bonnie 7 years old, Travis 4. We miss Bonnie very much. Her bed is still in the kitchen, and her water bowl is still in the hallway. To put them away would make things too final. Everytime I pick up my car keys I expect to see her sitting, looking up at me asking, "Can I go, too?" She loved riding in the car. She was always the first one to greet me in the morning, and many times would be sitting, looking up the stairs to see if we were getting up yet. Good-bye, sweet Bonnie!
| We love skiing! We took Travis out of school and went up to Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs, MI, from January 20 - January 25. We had lots and lots of snow! Our room was gorgeous - Travis had a twin bed in a little alcove right under the eaves of the lodge.

Here we are on race day. Richard is on blades.
There is hot chocolate for us at the bottom of the race hill.
Awards night - Travis got first place in his group! Way to go Travis!
| Its been awhile since I've posted, so now I'll have to do some caughting up. Here are some highlights from Christmas.
Travis puts the star on the tree.
The finished look. It was our prettiest tree ever!
We baked oodles of cookies!
Christmas dinner - stuffed Cornish hens!
Great-nephew, Avery.
Darren opening one of his presents. ( I assume he did not want me to post the picture of him Christmas morning opening presents in his pj's.)
Here's the fam. We survived another Christmas. Christmas vacation was great. We had two weeks of laid-back-relaxation. The boys did some skiing and ice skating and I did some napping and scrapping.
| Preparations for Christmas are going pretty well. I just need someone to clean up after me so that I can move on to the next project quickly. Sometimes the clean up takes longer than the project. We were tickled pink to listen to Travis on Sunday play the tuba in Tuba Christmas. Someone started this Tuba Christmas thing about 30 years ago and now it is an annual, national event. Basically, tuba enthusiasts get together every year and put on an all tuba Christmas concert. It was the worst day ever, with about a 1/4 inch of ice and freezing rain, but about 20 tuba players showed up. They rehearsed from 4:00 to 5:00, dress rehearsal at 7:00 and then the concert at 8:00. Travis had a lot of fun meeting the other players and they really seemed to show an interest in him.
You can decorate your tuba, too, if you want.

Travis was the youngest tuba player to attend. I wish he had sat on a phone book - he kind of got lost in a sea of tubas! Every play a trick on your family? Well, the other day, I was just sick of all the left overs in the fridge, so I chopped them all up and made a pie out of them. I put in two different kinds of left over meatloaves, some gravy, some mashed potatoes, and some left over stew! Ta da! You will have to ask them if it was any good. I didn't mind it, but it was missing some pazazz.
| Here's what's been happening in the Wurz clan in October. We had our annual Fall family picnic which is usually our time to get out to the park and see the beautiful leaves. However, we had a heat wave, it was about 90 degrees at our picnic, and the leaves were being stubborn about change. We ate well regardless and had a fun time being together.
Richard and Scott do the grilling.
Travis and his Dagwood burger.
